Professional Development workshops:
Movement Curriculum and Enrichment Workshops

This program will de-mystify Haitian Arts and will facilitate children and parents a complete awareness of Haitian Culture.

Fees range from $500 - $800 per class and workshop

Maximum # of students: 20-30 per Wkshp.
Workshops and Classes meet once a week and last for 3 weeks, 1 hour each.

Haiti in Motion

Students will learn Haitian customs, Arts, and History through Story Telling, Dancing, and Singing. This workshop will also emphasize reading and Writing.

Haitian Artisanat

Students will work with fabrics, sequense, Payettes, etc. Students in this workshop will also learn Haitian embroidery and costuming.

Choreography

Students will work collaboratively with other students and members of Agoci Music and Dance Ensemble to make up a dance relating to the life style of Haitian people to be performed in an ensembly program in school.

Art. Voice & Dance lessons

Students will learn Voice and Dance (Haitian Dance & Modern) Technique from members of Agoci Music and Dance Ensemble.

Drums of Haiti

Haitian is famous for its sophisticated drum playing. Students in this workshop will learn the different methods and styles of Haitian Drum Playing from the famous drummers of Agoci.
